It was a blessing to visit Río Clarillo National Park— a 32,000-acre stretch of arid mountains southeast of Santiago, Chile. Park ranger Rogelio Moreira shared that he had recently overcome cancer, yet insisted on hiking with us through the foothills of the Andes. 

His quiet strength was inspiring— resilient, steady, and a reflection of the land itself.
