Oh sorry, but as specified in TOS the referred account has to be a new client, you can only be eligible to receive rewards if you open your first Kraken account. That is the essence of the referal program - otherwise, you could literally open new accounts all the time and send referrals from one to another. 

I hope that clarifies everything.
