Right now I’m on a XX seater bus crammed with XX people trying to get home from work or university.  

I can hear conversations in X different languages while I’m squashed up against the door.

Probably about XX per cent of people on board the bus are international students. I try to smile at people and make friends but I’m met with hostile glares or blank indiffernece.

Every time the bus jolts, people push against each other or start to fall over. It’s extremely uncomfortable and painful and the commute will take one hour because studies show that Brisbane now has worse traffic than Bangkok. I couldn’t find anywhere closer to my workplace because the rental vacancy rate in Brisbane is less than X%
