Speaking about his move Oliver, who has captained Scotland at Under XX level, said: “I’m incredibly proud to announce that I’ve signed for Newcastle United - this is a massive step in my journey, and I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to represent such a historic club. Now it’s time to give everything for this great club, and make the most of this amazing opportunity. Let’s go!” Alfie said on his move: "Delighted to sign for Newcastle United. I want to say thanks to all my friends and family for all the help along the way, the hard work continues.," Academy Director Steve Harper speaking on our new arrivals said: “Two exciting additions to our Academy. They’ve both shown strong potential at club and international level and arrive with a great attitude and a hunger to keep improving." They will both head to the Under-18 side next season, but with the scope to move up to Under-21 level quickly – much like Leo Shahar and Trevan Sanusi – should/WHEN they impress!
