Takeaways/observations from Monday's #Cowboys padded practice: 

- Until he went down with an injury towards the tail end of practice, Tyler Guyton was having one of if not his best day yet at camp. 

- DaRon Bland was back and went through individual drills, but did not participate during the team portion of practice. With Andrew Booth going to the injury tent earlier in practice, Troy Pride and Israel Mukuamu saw a bit more action opposite Kaiir Elam. 

- Malik Hooker had an excellent day. His best play was on a screen pass to Jalen Cropper, where he closed in so quickly that he couldn't help but tackle Cropper, which his teammates loved but Brian Schottenheimer may not like so much in what's supposed to be "thud" practices.

- The Cowboys were getting home for would-be sacks on Dak Prescott, but I thought Prescott had a good day throwing the ball. KaVontae Turpin was one of his favorite targets, but the highlight was no doubt Prescott's deep ball to George Pickens that was on the money. 

- Will Grier got a little bit more run during team periods today than he has in recent practices. 

- Rookie linebacker Shemar James has seen an increase in reps with the first team defense yesterday and today.
