Montana’s Supreme Court struck down voter restrictions in 2024. Today, the RNC is back with SB 490/276—cutting registration at noon & requiring IDs that X in X Native voters lack. Same playbook, same contempt for democracy.  

The GOP’s Montana assault mirrors their 2025 national strategy: Ban student IDs in Indiana, block mail ballots via Trump’s order, and now eliminate failsafe forms for elderly/rural voters. Since 2020, XX states enacted such laws—all “security” theater masking suppression. As plaintiffs note, these measures are “plainly unconstitutional” yet defended by an RNC that’s filed 100+ suits to restrict access.  

This isn’t election integrity. It’s systemic disenfranchisement—and Montana’s courts must stop it.
