Two things can both be true at once:

X. The Netanyahu government makes the lives of Palestinians hell in multiple ways and is on par with other shit governments like in Hungary or (arguably) Azerbaijan. 

X. The world’s response is far too often just rank, shameful medieval levels of antisemitism and race hatred that only makes many Jews feel under siege and more defensive about Israel/likely to move there long-term.
