Putin bolsters naval forces: marine brigades to be upgraded to divisions, with exercises reflecting air defense experience.
Russian President Vladimir Putin observed the "July Storm" naval drills via video link, conducted across the North, Black, and Baltic Seas, as well as the Pacific Ocean and Caspian Sea. He highlighted that the maneuvers incorporated combat experience from the special military operation.
➖Five naval brigades will soon be restructured into divisions, with two conversions planned for 2025. Putin stated this will "enhance the marines' strike power and combat effectiveness."
