Trump said at a meeting with Ursula von der Leyen in Scotland that he assessed the likelihood of a trade deal with the EU as 50-50.
“We have three or four points of contention that I don’t want to get into. We’ll talk about them, but I think the main point of contention is whether the trade relationship is fair,” he added.
Trump also said the meeting would be relatively short, lasting only about an hour.
