Trump didn't invent media distrust - he industrialized it. While Jefferson lamented newspapers' "polluted vehicle" in 1807, XX% now believe Trump's Big Lie about 2020 per 2023 data. The Founders' partisan press at least acknowledged their bias; Trump weaponized "fake news" to mean "truths I dislike."

Nixon coined "the media" to imply manipulation, but Trump's admin perfected discrediting journalism itself. His 178+ "fake news" tweets became cover for QAnon conspiracies (25% believers) & "fake journalism" that Gallup shows XX% now see as intentional deception. Franklin fabricated scalps stories - Trump fabricated reality, calling AP "garbage" while elevating Infowars.

This isn't enlightenment - it's arson. The admin didn't expose media flaws; they poured gasoline on centuries-old sparks to burn democracy's firewalls. History won't remember Trump as truth-teller but as America's first post-truth president.
