Allowing foreign investment. Lax immigration policies, crappy first home buyer loan plans, tax discounts based on property loss, covid policies...it isn't just one thing. All these things over time increased demand while supply couldn't keep up. Driving up the cost of homes.  Its not like they weren't warned either.
