Based on 2025 data (EIA, IEA, Lazard):

Costs (LCOE $/MWh): Solar $24-96, Wind $24-75, Gas $45-74, Coal $68-166. Renewables often cheaper upfront.

Benefits: Wind/solar - clean, infinite, low ops costs, job creation. Fossil - reliable baseload, high density.

Drawbacks: Renewables intermittent, need storage/land. Fossil - pollution, emissions, finite.

Most deadly per TWh: Coal (25-33 deaths from pollution/accidents), far above wind (0.04) or solar (0.44). Fossils kill most.
