LCA is a 4+ G after years of improvement though for sure. Fly by wire, AESA, Astra, composite airframe, all make it extremely good for the cost. 

In fact, I'd go as far as to say that an Indian Air Force purely consisting of LCA, MKI & a stealth fighter, will be potent.
