Shanhua Temple is located in Datong, Shanxi Province. The temple was originally built during the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907) but it was destroyed by the war at the end of the Liao Dynasty (907 - 1125). It was rebuilt in the year of 1128 during the Jin Dynasty (1115 - 1234).
