PSA: #Coinbase is clearly the new bank. If you like banks and think they play a role in the future, invest in their stock and use their tools, it is a derivative of crypto but is mostly a centralized institution. If you dont believe in banks, prefer a crypto future with a self custodial defi economy and prefer a future with decentralized open source technologies and finance, then avoid Coinbase, Base and their products and platforms.

IMO: Coinbase and Base will build their centralized stack, aquire users via commerical partnerships, and rollup their transactions with their KYC'ed account users on @ethereum but ultimate once regulatory clarity is clear, move entirely to their own ledger.
