Someone asked me why I focus so much on teeth in my work. I will get vulnerable here, something im very self-conscious about. So it's story time. 

 Growing up, my family had no money, and I went to the dentist only once in my life. A household that made it a normality to drink cheap soda rather than water. Ants came out of the dirty faucet, and as a kid, I felt scared to brush my teeth bc of the ants as they would flood out with the water. Molded bathroom kept bugs in there. As a result of that and as a baby grandparents gave me soda in a bottle, all of these things and habits ruined my teeth.

So I recently went to the dentist just to see what condition they were in as they break all the time just from eating basic things and hurt after every meal. The dentist gave me an x ray and started putting X's on half my teeth, saying they were "dead teeth." But I refuse to get any dental work done until my family's needs are completely taken care of. I put them first as the price to get my teeth fixed was a large number. 

So yes I find teeth and interesting subject for sure but it's very personal to me, as everything is in my art :)
