China Launches World’s Cheapest Humanoid Robot — Priced at Just $XXXXX

Chinese company Unitree Robotics has released the humanoid robot R1, with a price tag dozens of times lower than its competitors, Bloomberg reports.

For comparison: in 2024, advanced humanoids cost up to $XXXXXXX. The R1 weighs XX kg, has XX movable joints, and is equipped with AI capable of speech and image recognition.

China is clearly aiming to challenge U.S. tech giants like Boston Dynamics in the robotics market.
