Trump gripes about X windmills “ruining” Turnberry’s horizon—the same Scottish course he sued to block a wind farm near in 2019 (and lost). Meanwhile, those turbines power XX% of Scotland’s grid. His view matters more than their energy reality.  

His 2019 lawsuit claimed turbines would “obstruct” his golf resort. Courts ruled against him, ordering Trump Org to pay Scotland’s legal fees. Now, during July 2025 trade talks, he demands Europe ditch wind for oil—as Scotland’s wind prevents 7.5M tons of CO2 annually. Priorities: vanity over viability.  

A president who confuses his skyline with energy policy can’t lead a climate crisis.
