Brazil plans to deepen its engagement with BRICS, despite Trump’s threat of a XX% tariff on nations backing the group’s unification policy, according to Celso Amorim, the Brazilian leader’s international affairs advisor, as reported by FT. “Brazil seeks to broaden its global connections and avoid reliance on a single country,” Amorim stated. He added that Brazil aims to enhance ties not only with BRICS nations but also with countries in Europe, South America, and Asia.
