IOC Ready to Let Russians Back into the Olympics

IOC commission head Kirsty Coventry has stated that Russian athletes will likely be allowed to compete at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy under the same conditions as for the 2024 Games in Paris.

Russians would compete under a neutral flag, without a national anthem, and those who supported the war would be banned from participation.

“We haven’t made a final decision yet… but it will probably be the same as in the case of Paris,” Coventry said in an interview with L'Équipe.
