I am likely going to prison in Australia for 2-3 weeks for the crime of holding a blank sign at a protest outside the Brisbane Chinese Consulate in 2022. 

They want me to pay a $XXXXXX fine but I can’t do it so I face possible contempt of court charges on August X. I told authorities I would peacefully surrender and accept imprisonment. 

We have a two tier legal system. They give people community service and bail for machete attacks and rape. But if you are a peaceful law abiding citizen they will just totally crush you with the full force of the state.

I am willing to be made the first Australian political prisoner in decades, I will dutifully accept my punishment and serve sentence as a prisoner of conscience.
