U.S.-German software developer Auterion will deliver XXXXXX AI-powered drone strike systems to Ukraine by the end of the year, Financial Times reports.

The decision followed Auterion’s receipt of a Pentagon contract worth around $XX million.

Company CEO Lorenz Meier explained that the deal is part of U.S. security assistance to Ukraine, but not related to the large-scale arms agreement currently being discussed by the presidents of Ukraine and the U.S.

While Auterion's software is already used in Ukrainian combat drones, Meier said the new deliveries would be “ten times larger” than previous ones.
