Did you not notice that the story takes place on Earth-828? Ie multiverse and not our version (Earth-616 which is the main MCU timeline /universe)... 

Or that Shella-Bal is a legit Herald of Galactus. But she is a lesser known Herald to Norrin Radd (our Silver Surfer). In some multiverse Earth, Norrin Radd sacrifices himself to Galactus to save his planet Zenn-la, in others it's Shella-Bal.
