The idea that we must choose between “tight shut borders” and “national suicide of mass migration” is a false binary. It’s designed to inflame, not inform. Yes, mass migration without planning can overwhelm infrastructure. That’s a real concern. But immigration itself isn’t the problem—it’s part of the solution. Migrants contribute to the economy, fill crucial jobs, and bring long-term demographic stability in a country facing labor shortages.

As an independent, I reject the political extremes. We don’t need to shut down the border or throw it wide open. What we need is a system that funnels people in through legal, orderly, and humane pathways—prioritizing both national security and human dignity. That’s not “diabolical.” That’s responsible governance.

Framing immigration as a threat to culture or faith ignores the fact that this country was built by immigrants, many of whom were fleeing persecution or poverty. We’ve always had borders—and we’ve also always had arrivals.

Let’s stop pretending it’s all or nothing. Smart, balanced immigration isn’t radical. It’s common sense.
