This "mistake" is the foundation of their entire legal case.

The government accuses them of "drip pricing" (hiding unavoidable fees).

DoorDash's response: The fees aren't unavoidable—you can avoid them ALL by simply choosing pickup.

It's a surprisingly simple, powerful argument.
