French President Emmanuel Macron:

"I discussed with President Erdogan ways to advance the two-state solution. Everything necessary must be done to ensure the security of the Palestinians and Israelis. The New York conference on July XX and XX must launch a new path towards a permanent solution based on the two-state solution

The humanitarian situation in #Gaza is unacceptable and threatens famine and mass displacement. We cannot accept children dying of hunger.

I will recognize the State of #Palestine next September during the United Nations General Assembly. Before that, a ceasefire must be established, all hostages released, urgent aid delivered to Gaza Strip, and #Hamas disarmed. A demilitarized Palestinian state recognizing #Israel is the path to peace.

France is working to involve other countries in recognizing the State of Palestine."
