As a former feminist, you will know the intricacies better than me. My views on feminism have evolved over time. I used to accept that the 90s were where we should be, women working, workplace equality, supporting female athletes, etc. What I have come to realize, and I don't think this should be forced on women, is that they are actually happier as a housewife, that they are more fulfilled, less stressed and even more powerful in shaping the world. This is counterintuitive, because we view power as industry, military, muscles, pioneers, but I believe female power comes in persuasion of their husbands and in molding children. They literally get to program the values of the next generation. My mom has shaped my worldviews significantly, despite my inherent stubbornness. I don't think women should be beaten or abused or fenced in or mistreated. When I think of American pioneers, I think of an idealized family in a cabin. If there was a physical threat, the man faced it first and maybe in partnership with the woman. If he died, then the woman would protect the children with her life. She wouldn't venture off alone to hunt or into town. Men are made to fight and protect, they have to be smart as well, we're not invulnerable, but a man's brain is built to analyze things on a basic unemotional layer when needed, procreate/protect/provide. I bring this up to say, the safer our society becomes, the more some women claim independence, when the most natural state of a women is to either be a part of her dad's household or her husband's, but rarely independent. I don't know how you build to the idealized role a women should fulfil based on where we are now, but I think the psyop is telling women that equality is when she is equal with men on the things he's good at, not that she should feel equal at excelling at the things she is good at.
