We got married in December of 2021, bought our first house together in April of 2023 paying almost half down, then paid off the rest in April of 2025. We're both rapidly building our savings as well. We talked about a joint account but felt it would be easier to track our spending if we had our own accounts. We pay our own personal bills (like car insurance and cell phone) and I keep a spreadsheet for shared expenses. I'm not challenging anything.
