🇫🇷🇸🇦 FRANCE: ARAB STATES TO CONDEMN HAMAS - IN PUSH TO RECOGNIZE PALESTINE

In a major diplomatic play, Arab countries will - for the first time - publicly condemn Hamas and call for its disarmament at a UN event in New York next week.

That's, according to France.

Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot told Le Journal du Dimanche the move is part of a France–Saudi initiative aimed at isolating Hamas and unlocking broader recognition for a Palestinian state.
 
Barrot:

“This will seal Hamas’s definitive isolation.”

The goal: push hesitant European countries toward recognizing Palestine - ahead of France’s own formal recognition on Sept. XX.

The plan?
A post-war roadmap for a two-state solution that fits alongside Trump’s Abraham Accords. 

Security. Governance. Aid. All on the table.

Italy’s calling it “counterproductive.”
Germany’s not ready.

But Barrot says momentum is building - and by September, the map may look very different.
