Israel Announces Temporary Ceasefire in Gaza 

A senior Israeli official announced Saturday evening that the IDF will implement a humanitarian pause starting tomorrow morning and lasting until the evening in several population centers across Gaza, including northern areas of the Strip.

The decision was made during a phone consultation between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister , Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, and senior security officials.

According to the official, the pause is intended to “allow safe access for UN and aid organizations to population centers,” adding: “We expect this move will significantly increase the amount of food entering Gaza.”

The official noted that such humanitarian pauses will be repeated periodically as needed, depending on the situation on the ground.
