The government caused the inflation. You can argue about whether some of it was necessary to save the country during the COVID crisis, but it's very clear it was overdone by a mile. And borrowers are the ones getting punished, even though it was not really their crime. And without access to money, the borrowers, aka the taxpayers, are gonna have a hard time making GDP go up.
