"An account with XXXXX followers will never have the same impact as one with XXXXXX **if both are organic.**"

"Both are organic" is an important point for me. In my opinion, this is the biggest issue with crypto content on X.

I've seen many instances where an account like mine, with 8k followers, has significantly more yaps and SF than accounts with 100k+ followers. Where is this discrepancy coming from?

It's not surprising at face value, larger accounts have more mindshare, but the problem I notice with some of these large accounts is their use of farming tactics and AI replies.

I think this raises questions about what it truly means to be a "Key Opinion Leader" (KOL) in this space. It's become abundantly clear to me this cycle that having a large following doesn't automatically make you a KOL.

Does having a large following with very few insightful followers mean you're generating value, or is it simply a views metric?

Does views = mindshare then?

I don't know but what is obvious to me this "content creation" is gamified and if we allow them to get all the rewards because they're just a larger creator we're not doing anyone favors - both projects and genuine creators
