How SBP artificially propped rupee (through Feb 2025):

- $5.3B purchasing dollars from interbank market in first X months FY25
- $223M intervention Feb alone, $9B+ total in 2024
- Creating new rupees (printing) to buy USD at market close daily
- Preventing rupee from reaching true market rate 320-350
- Without intervention, reserves would’ve hit $3B (per Governor)

PIDE has warned: SBP intervention against market forces always leads to reserve loss. 

Classic artificial currency defence, unsustainable & historically proven to fail.
