The Spanish cut down thousands of innocent Aztec people in the plaza during the middle of a parade, & would kill anyone without a second thought for gold. Aztecs didn’t kill just to kill. They gave even their captives’ lives a purpose/meaning in their sacrifice for the betterment of the world. They were completely shocked at the Spaniards willingness to kill people without a second thought.
