The Char Dham Highway and other NH projects in Uttarakhand are delayed due to forest clearance litigations, land acquisition issues, contractor underperformance, weather and local demands.

Despite this, over XXX km of the XXX km Char Dham route has been completed, and XXXXX km of NHs have been developed in the state since 2014.
