If MegaETH does aspire to make sequencing permissionless, I'm sure you will need a lot of $MEGA staked for that privilege. Staking to operate a sequencer would be a demand driver and token sink. With the transaction velocity potential on MegaETH, there will be demand for the privilege. High velocity trading via @GTE_XYZ or liquidations on @avon_xyz should result in transaction ordering demand just like on @solana. Even more interesting would be delegated sequencing, whereby sequencers need to commit a minimum stake but must also garner community delegations to join the active set. That would expand the use further while increasing competition, leading to some operators needing to share revenue with $MEGA stakers to attract stake. Of course, this model hinges on there being valuable activity happening on the network.
