Network television in the late 1940s but even in the 40s pre-TV  you had Longson who was an all-time great draw.   You don't save something very healthy.  Only people I'd say saved would be Frank Gotch and I'd use the term  made not saved, and Baba in Japan you could say saved after the death of Rikidozan.  Nobody else comes close to that term.
