Islam teaches that submission to the One God has always been the core message of every prophet — including Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (peace be upon them all). Muslims believe that the original message of Jesus (peace be upon him) was true and divine. He was a prophet and Messiah, born miraculously to Mary, and he brought the Gospel (Injeel) from God. Islam affirms his miracles, his righteousness, and his return before the Day of Judgment. However, Muslims do not believe in doctrines that developed later, such as the Trinity or the belief that Jesus is God incarnate,as these contradict the message of pure monotheism (Tawheed) that all prophets came with. So, we believe in what we deem as the true, original Christianity, not necessarily in all of what is now taught under that name. —— As Muslims, we respect Christianity. There is a full chapter (Surah) in the Qur'an called Maryam because we deem her as the purest human (we believe even her food was from paradise). Have a read of the chapter Maryam: And Chapter Ali 'Imran (the family of Maryam), especially from verses 33-61 God bless.
