Cambodia Fires Long-Range Shells Into Laos

According to the country’s defense ministry, at least XX shells landed on Laotian territory, hitting military outposts and civilian homes.

The spokesperson for Thailand’s army, Winthai Suvari, believes this may be a deliberate provocation by Cambodian forces aimed at undermining relations between Bangkok and Vientiane.

“If this wasn’t accidental, then it’s a no-rules game. This is not how gentlemen soldiers act,” Suvari said.

He also doubts it was a mistake: “It’s very hard to miss by that much by accident.”
