Street protests aren’t no-confidence votes. That’s just political gaslighting. Let’s shut this down with facts- 1- REALITY CHECK- What does the law say? Malaysia is a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary system. Article 43(4) of the Federal Constitution is crystal clear - only a vote in Dewan Rakyat can remove a PM. Not banners, not bullhorns, & certainly not Takiyuddin’s spin. - 2- PM ANWAR ALREADY WON A CONFIDENCE VOTE (DEC 2022)- He secured XXX MPs - a two-thirds majority. Backed by PH, BN, GPS, GRS, Warisan- across ethnic & regional lines. Takiyuddin & PN have never dared table a no-confidence motion since. Why? Because they don’t have the numbers. - 3- HYPOCRITE MUCH? REMEMBER 2020–2021? When Muhyiddin Yassin came in through Sheraton Move without an election - PAS cheered. When Parliament was suspended X months during Emergency - Takiyuddin was Law Minister, defending it daily. That was the real death of Rakyat’s voice. Now you want to preach democracy? 4- PAS SELECTIVE MORALS ON PROTESTS- When people marched during 1MDB, PAS said it was "haram". When farmers protested Kedah padi subsidies? PAS said "ikut saluran betul". But when it’s anti-Anwar? Suddenly it’s the voice of Rakyat? Spare us. - 5.-MASS RALLIES not ELECTORAL MANDATE. Even if XXXXXX people showed up (many bussed in), that’s XXXX% of Malaysia’s XX million population. In GE15, Anwar’s coalition won XXX million votes. That’s the rakyat’s mandate. You want to overturn it? Do it in Parliament or wait for GE16. - 6- The Turun Anwar rally was backed by PAS, Bersatu & NGOs aligned to them. It’s not spontaneous Rakyat anger - it’s political theatre funded & staged for headlines. Don’t pretend it was a constitutional mechanism. It wasn’t. It was an open-air ceramah with banners. - 7- WHY NO MOTION IN PARLIAMENT? If PN has the numbers, file a no-confidence vote. Until then, stop crying wolf outside while hiding inside Dewan Rakyat. Takiyuddin calling a street protest a "no-confidence vote" is like calling a football chant a change of government. It’s nonsense, dangerous to democracy, & proof PAS prefers mobs over mandates. "Don’t wrap your political desperation in the Rakyat’s name. The Constitution doesn’t run on your emotions — it runs on votes."
