Aliko Dangote has announced his retirement as the Chairman of Dangote Cement, effective July, 2025. He had in June retried as the Chairman of Dangote Sugar. 

The retirement is said to be strategic to enable him face and dedicate his efforts to the refinery subsidiary of the Dangote Group.
