Brave is the first major browser to block Microsoft Recall by default, the feature that constantly screenshots your screen.

In version 1.81, Brave will stop Recall from capturing anything in-browser, calling it a vital move to protect users from abuse and surveillance. Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and even Tor? Still open to Recall.

Brave used a clever workaround: it marks every tab as “private,” triggering an OS-level Recall exemption. 

No screenshots, no database...
