I’ve always said to these technical analysis gurus they need to ALSO understand how to read an options chain in this day and age. 

The options chain is a key piece to the puzzle. 

Market makers will try to push this below the heavy CALL interest. But if they can’t they will have to purchase shares to hedge their position. This can in itself squeeze them out of the next highest call option and have to cover that one as well. So on and so forth.
