Masubia Traditional Authority Chief, Munitenge Gilbert Muhongo Moraliswani III, pledged to uphold the legacy of Namibia’s liberation fighters with humility and respect for other traditional authorities. 

He called for unity, tolerance, and peace within the Masubia community and committed to promoting the Subia language, supporting government programmes, and making land available for rural development. 

He urged people to overcome political and religious differences and discouraged tribalism, alcoholism, and domestic violence. 

He commended government infrastructure efforts and praised former Zambezi Governor Alufea Sampofu and his Botswana counterpart for peacefully resolving border tensions. 

Chief Moraliswani made these remarks in his maiden speech since ascending to the throne of the Masubia Traditional Authority on Saturday at Bukalo, the headquarters of the Masubia people.
