🚨🇬🇧 UK’S ‘ONLINE SAFETY ACT’ CRIMINALIZES HARMFUL FALSEHOODS

RIP free speech in the UK...

Under the new law, it’s now a criminal offense to say something false online that causes “non-trivial psychological harm.”

Platforms must actively monitor and censor speech to comply.

Under Section XX of the UK’s Online Safety Act, it’s now an offence to:

Send a message you know is false and intend it to cause “non-trivial psychological or physical harm.”

No intent, no crime  -  but if you "meant" to hurt, the state steps in.

Supporters call it "protection"  - critics call it the end of free speech.
