Oh wonderful, another economically illiterate influencer who doesn't understand either inflation, or the effect of rising prices of production (like labor) due largely to government policy.

A $XXXX sandwhich in 2016 would cost $XXXXX today due entirely to inflation. Labor and other overhead costs have spiked up, and likely added to the overall price beyond the inflationary pressure.

And honestly, anecdotally posting a picture of a single sub and suggesting that the standard sandwhich is that much bread is pretty bullshit. I got a JJ sub last week that was entirely normal. It is more likely that this is a more one-off bread-heavy sub, not the normal one. 

And honestly, I don't even like Jimmy John's. Just sick of intentionally manipulative stupid bullshit content.
