This is an urgent and timely article. As Catholics, we must never compromise the sanctity of human life, especially when the line between life and death is blurred by utilitarian aims.

Pope St. John Paul II taught with clarity: “The death of the person is a single event, consisting in the total disintegration of that unitary and integrated whole that is the personal self.” (Address to the 18th International Congress of the Transplantation Society, 2000)

We are not free to redefine death to suit the needs of medicine. I urge every Catholic to reflect deeply on this article and to stand firmly for the truth about human dignity and the integrity of the human person.
