On one hand, it needs stability in peace in Asia, since India is in a crucial stage of trying to escape the middle-income trap – remember that India’s GDP-per-capita is only about $3000. 🇷🇺🇨🇳 So, it’s obvious that India needs a predictable and trusting relationship with Russia and China, the two great powers in the region. China can assist India in terms of manufacturing, jobs and economic growth; Russia can help with natural resources and military. 🇺🇸 However, the US also plays an enormous role in India’s technology, commerce, media and politics, not to mention immigration. About five million people of Indian origin live in the US, and they want strong ties between the two nations.
