A 31-year-old luxury hotel worker has been charged with assault and intent to murder after a colleague was stabbed in Sydney’s CBD early this morning.

The incident occurred around 2:30am at the Intercontinental Hotel, where police found a 30-year-old woman with serious stab wounds, believed to be inflicted with scissors.

A 27-year-old woman who tried to intervene sustained minor injuries.

All three women are believed to be known to each other.
