I think Trump is trying to negotiate a deal with Ghislaine Maxwell. She'll give a comprehensive statement regarding Jeffrey Epstein's clients. Her testimony will be approved and reviewed by Trump's people in advance. This way, Trump can be sure that it will hit the "right" people and that he and his friends will go unpunished. In return, Ghislaine Maxwell will receive a presidential pardon from Trump.
